3D Modelling - 6

<< Back to 3D Modelling - 5

Low-res versions of renders from a series of 3D models that were created for "Inspiration" competitions sponsored by a major 3D-graphics software company (February 2017) :

The first picture had to incorporate a semi-trailer type truck/lorry:

Train Wreck with Trucks"Bad day at the office!"
or
"Spot the Black Cat" !

The following models all had to include a fountain (ideally, a WISHING Fountain):

So they all rolled over and one fell out...

"...So they all rolled over and one fell out!"
----------

This fountain is all MINE!"This fountain is all MINE!"
----------

It's Life Jim, but not as we know it!

Reuters, Earthdate Feb 2017:  NASA announces that 3 of the 7 (no, not 7 of 9!) Earth-sized planets orbiting the "nearby" (a mere 38 light years away) star TRAPPIST-1 are located in the habitable zone, where liquid water might form.

            1st Officer:
Well it's LIFE, Jim, but not as we know it!
            Comms:
Comms to Bridge: Um... Could SWEAR
                    we're hearing singing, Cap'n... Something
along the lines of "Splish-Splash, we were
                    taking a bath... ?"
            Jim:
Hmmm... Might be Wishful thinking, but
perhaps we've found the  Fountain of
                    Youth(s)?

ANOTHER 3D Competition:

They don't get easier, though... The only specs provided for THIS one were "Beware the Ides of March" !

So a little research was required... All of the emboldened stuff below should be somehow incorporated into a single graphic:

"Beware the Ides of March":
                       ("Be where?   I'd March!")

So, in MARCH the Ides are on 15th... (they change from month to month... April's are on 13th)
... made famous by William Shakespeare's depiction of Caesar being stabbed to death (dagger) by his Senators - one of whom was his "good friend" Brutus...

Caeser's famous last words (fictionally) were purported to be: "Et Tu Brute?"

As we know, Will Shakes wrote lots of other tragedies and comedies, including "To Be or Not to Be" (2B or 2A?!), and "The Tempest" (thunderbolts and lightning, very, very frightening, YEAH! ... We did have BATS flitting overhead, but they were over-kill)
... Plays that were were performed at The Globe theater.

ANYway, THIS was the submission:

Be Where? I'd March!

February / March 2017:

Couldn't resist this Trucker-vs-Morgan "confrontation"... Feel free to CRINGE!
"See Something ya Like?"

March 2017:

This competition had to include Old Wheelbarrows:

Can I Borrow Your Barrow?

"Hey Mister... Can I borrow your barrow?"

Another competition entry... This one had to incorporate Furniture:

Moving In

"Hey wake Up, Honey... We've arrived at your new home... Time to move in!"
"Don't worry 'bout the street-art - You can white-wash the wall later!"

And another... THIS one had to depict Dragon-Hunt Weapons:

Tarragon

" and then, once it stops twitching, I like to add just a dash of Tarragon."

So many competitions, so little time!  This one had to depict a flashily-painted sports car, an old industrial hallway and a bearded lady! Not something one comes across every day!

"See Something You Like?" :

See Something You Like?

April 2017:

An experiment in close-up skin- tones, textures and expressions...

"Peachy Woman" :
Peachy WomanAnd, continuing on the same theme:

"Peachy Women" :
Peachy Women

"Fine Dining" :

Fine Dining

... But don't over-do it !

Fine Dining 02

May 2017:

"Escher" :

Escher 01

"A Hard Day's Night"
:

Hard Day's Night

"Shower Time"
:

Shower Time
